Business Development Manager

Due to continued growth, we are seeking to expand our team and looking for a Business Development Manager.

The Role

The role of our Business Development Manager is to find and win customers for our BrightOffice Cloud CRM platform. Responsible for one of our target market sectors you will be expected to develop a solid understanding of our potential customers and markets, and leverage that knowledge to win quality and profitable business.
Working a mix of company and self-generated enquiries you will have the opportunity to achieve strong sales and earnings.
With an ability to collaborate and influence our team you can help us to shape the future of our already strong offering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and identify sales opportunities to achieve monthly sales targets.
  • Generate and qualify new sales leads and set own appointments, whilst building and managing sales pipelines.
  • Follow through on all customer appointments ensuring requirements are accurately collated and appropriate presentations / demonstrations are carried out.
  • Manage your market sector effectively with regards to travel and meetings.
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Participate in pricing solutions & service.
  • Ensuring activity records are updated on the company CRM system.
  • Prepare and deliver regular sales reports and management information as required.
  • Participate in sales campaigns, as well as attending sales and business meetings.

Key skills and personal traits required:

  • Relevant experience in field sales and business development.
  • Prospecting, qualifying, pipeline development, negotiating, and a closing skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
  • A competent presenter who can demonstrate strong negotiation and influencing skills whilst presenting company products and services to prospects and clients.
  • To be prepared to travel throughout the UK.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Time management with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to learn new technology and systems.
  • High level of initiative and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Valid full UK driving licence.
